Have you ever wondered how it all began? Let’s take a trip down memory lane. The city of Port Elizabeth is full of history and Hill Paint and Hardware certainly is a picture, added to PE’s wall of fond memories.

On the 1st October 1989, Bruce and wife Margaret Watson purchased this little store. With the store being successful, Bruce approached Dale who was finishing his military training at the time to join the family business.

As time passed, Dale a second generation Watson, took the reigns of this hardware store and still operates it like a true Watson to this day.

Asked what’s the core focus of this family business, his reply is simple “it’s our motto, where customers become friends.”
